Vice President Dhankhar will come to MCU convocation ceremony

  • Convocation ceremony will be held in Journalism University on 15th September
  • Vice President will confer the title: Vice Chancellor
  • Event will be held in Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Auditorium located in Makhanpuram campus

The convocation ceremony is going to be organized on Friday, September 15 in the new campus of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University, Makhanpuram.

Giving more information, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr) KG Suresh said that this is the fourth convocation of the University. He said that the Chancellor of the University and the Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar will participate in it. Prof Suresh said that the President of the General Council of the University and the Chief Minister of the State Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the newly appointed Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla are also expected at this convocation, being held after five years. Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh said that the convocation ceremony was pending for a long time and could not be held due to the Corona period, but now this event is going to be held on September 15 in the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Auditorium of the Makhanpuram campus of the university, Bishankhedi. He said that degrees will be awarded to postgraduate and MPhil PhD students in the convocation ceremony. In this ceremony, degrees will be awarded to the students who have passed postgraduate degree from June 2018 to December 2022- June 2023.

Students can apply till 6th September

Pro. Suresh said that students who want to get the degree in the convocation can deposit the prescribed fee of Rs 250 through MP online portal by 6th September. He said that if students do not apply by the prescribed date, they will have to apply online by September 9 with a late fee of Rs 450. It is worth mentioning that for the first time the convocation ceremony is being organized in the university’s own campus.
