Bhopal: The Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal has announced the results of the recent elections for the Airports Authority of India SC & ST Employees’ Welfare Association, bringing new leadership to the forefront. The elections, held on Monday, saw key positions filled by dedicated members.
Surendra Sutrakar has been elected as the new President of the association, taking the helm to champion the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes employees. Alpana Patil will serve as the Vice President, while D.S. Verma has been appointed Organizing Secretary. The crucial role of Secretary goes to Shalini Bhaisare, with Narendra Dhokane stepping in as Assistant Secretary. Finally, Sagar Borkar has been elected as the Treasurer.
In addition to the executive committee, several members were also chosen for the general committee, including Sachin Kumar Mandarai, Nitin Chokikar, Salil Kumar Bhagat, Ashok Godbole, Shiv Gopal Patel, Bhupendra Verma, and Santosh Malviya.
These elections follow the association’s general assembly, which was successfully held on March 27. During that assembly, with all member officials and employees present, the local SC and ST committee elections were conducted by unanimous consent, paving the way for the newly elected leadership to take charge.
