Kasaragod (Kerala), Sep 25 (UNI) Five persons, including four women of a family were killed when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a school bus at Pallathadka near Bandiyadukka in this district on Monday.
The victims from Mogral Puthur were on their way to attend a funeral at Perla.
Police said the deceased were identified as Beefathima (60), her sister Umma Haleema (58), Beefathima Mogra (50), Nabeesa (46) and auto driver, A H Abdul Rauf (58).
The accident occurred around 1715 hours, when the family were on the way to attend a funeral fat Perla, while the school bus belongs to Manya Global public school was returning from Perla after alighting all the students.
The autorickshaw was completedly damaged due to the impact of the accident.
The locals shifted the injured persons after the accident to Kasaragod general hospital where doctors declared three of them brought dead and the rest succumbed to their injuries.
The bodies were kept at the mortuary of the general hospital.
