Bhopal: A shocking incident of acid attack has unfolded in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, where a shopkeeper paid a heavy price for intervening in an uncomfortable situation. Rajesh, a local shop owner near Asaram Tiraha, was grievously injured when a man, identified as Pramod Sahu, allegedly hurled acid at him in retaliation for being asked to keep his distance from a female customer. The injured shopkeeper is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital. Swift action by bystanders led to the immediate apprehension of the accused, Pramod Sahu, by the police.

The disturbing sequence of events began when Rajesh requested Pramod to maintain a respectful distance from a woman present at his shop. Enraged by this polite intervention, Pramod, who works cleaning copper and brass utensils, allegedly resorted to violence. He reportedly used the acid he typically handles for his work to attack the shopkeeper. Following the assault, the local community rallied together, assisting the police in swiftly detaining the accused. This brazen act of violence has understandably caused significant alarm and outrage in Bhopal.
