Virendra Raghuvanshi, Shekhawat among several leaders join Congress

  • Big jolt to BJP before elections

Bhopal: Before the assembly elections, Congress is continuously giving shocks to BJP. Today Congress has expanded its clan further. In the presence of State President Kamal Nath and State Incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala at the State Congress office, many leaders including BJP MLA Virendra Raghuvanshi, former MLA Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat joined the Congress.

MLAs are also among those who left the party. All the leaders who have resigned from BJP are saying goodbye by accusing the party of neglect.

BJP MLA and former MLA joined Congress

Those who left BJP and took membership of Congress included Virendra Raghuvanshi, MLA from Kolaras assembly of Shivpuri district, prominent BJP leader of Dhar district, former MLA Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Pro-Scindia leader Anshu Raghuvanshi, daughter of former Guna MLA late Devendra Singh Raghuvanshi, Chandrabhushan alias Guddu Raja (Sagar), son of two-time former Jhansi MP Sujan Singh Bundela and Dr. Ashish Aggarwal Golu, nephew of former Home Minister Umashankar Gupta.

BJP’s electoral calculations could be spoiled

Apart from these big leaders, many other leaders and supporters of these leaders have also joined Congress, Congress claims that all these leaders have come to Congress after being influenced by Kamal Nath’s leadership, which will definitely benefit the party in the assembly elections. However, the way leaders are leaving BJP much before the elections and big leaders are considering it as a normal process. If the voters shift somewhere, it will be difficult for the BJP.
