Bhopal: School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh said that employment opportunities can be increased only by developing skills among children and youth in the state. He said that special provisions have been made in the new education policy in this regard. Minister Shri Singh was addressing officials during the review of Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board.
Minister Shri Singh said that there is a need to provide training in various disciplines by opening Utkrisht Kaushal Kendras in rural areas. He also instructed to reduce the number of dropout by reconnecting children with school education. The School Education Minister visited various branches of the State Open School Education Board for inspection and their the functioning.
During the meeting, Board Director Shri Prabhatraj Tiwari said that the Board’s Ruk Jana Nahi scheme has benefited children who left studies midway. About 5 lakh children in the state have passed the class 10th and 12th board exams by joining this scheme and have continued their further studies. Director Shri Tiwari told that the Open School Board has adopted one government school each in 52 districts for quality improvement. The Board has made extensive improvements in the teaching system along with infrastructure all in these schools. Computer lab has also been started in every school.
