Bhopal: Under the Anubhuti Program 2023-24, the seventh training cum awareness camp was organized by the Forest Department in coordination with Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board on Sunday at Van Vihar National Park. The main objective of this program is to develop sensitivity towards forest, wild animals and environment conservation. A total of 142 participants including 135 students and 07 teachers from Ankur Higher Secondary School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, Seven Hills Public Higher Secondary School, Bhopal and Ankur Higher Secondary School, Dayanand Nagar, Bhopal participated in the program.
Additional Chief Secretary Forest Shri Kansotiya and Shri Aseem Srivastava Chief Forest Force Chief answered the questions regarding the utility of the tiger for humans and its position in the food chain. Dr. Samita Rajora, Chief Executive Officer, Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board, while giving importance to the theme of the camp “I am also a tiger”, inspired the children to adopt the qualities of the tiger.
Anubhuti bag, cape, reading material, stickers, pens, brochures, batches were provided to every child who participated in the camp. The students were given bird watching, wildlife watching, nature trail tours and interesting activities related to forests, wildlife and environment and their curiosities were quenched by providing information. As an innovation, rescue activities were demonstrated in which the method of making bags from unstitched cloth was taught.
The participants were divided into small groups and interesting games related to environment like food wave, interesting games related to migratory birds and a film about tiger were also shown. In spot quiz, Archie Verma stood first, Hema Kushwaha stood second and Zainab Khan stood third.
