Salkanpur: Vehicles will not be able to reach temple, arrangements change during Chaitra Navratri

Throngs of devotees have started gathering at Salkanpur Bijasan Devidham in Sehore district from the first day of Navratri. There is a temple of Vijayasan Mata on an 800 feet high peak on the Vindhyachal mountain here.

There are stairs, ropeway to reach the temple and contracted vehicles are also available to take you to the hill. This time, car parking has been made several kilometers before the temple while a ban has been imposed on taking private vehicles on the hill.

The doors of the temple were opened early at 3 o’clock – On Tuesday, the first day of Navratri festival, there was a long line of devotees in the morning for the darshan of the Goddess. Here during the pre-Navratri, the doors of the temple will be opened at 3 o’clock in the morning for the darshan of Mata. The doors of Vijayasan Devi Dham will remain open from morning to 12.30 pm. In this way, the Mother Goddess can be seen for 21 hours. There will be Aarti at 5 pm daily during Chaitra Navratri. Arrangements have been changed during Navratri for the convenience of the devotees. Private vehicles will not be able to go on the hill, only contracted vehicles will go here. During this period the ropeway will be operated for 15 hours.

A huge crowd of devotees comes on Navratri. Keeping this in view, vehicle parking has been made several kilometers before the temple. Devotees coming from Bhopal and Sehore will have to park their vehicles before the police post. Parking has been made near the bypass for vehicles coming from Narmadapuram. People coming from Harda, Seoni-Malwa, Amli Ghat will also have to park their vehicles here.

Only contracted taxis will be able to go up

Temple Trust President Mahesh Upadhyay said that Salkanpur Devi Dham is being developed on the lines of Mahakal Lok. This time, there is a ban on taking private vehicles up to the hill due to ongoing construction work and lack of enough space for parking at the top. Only taxis, which have been contracted by the administration, will be able to go up. On April 9, the first day of Navratri, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at Salkanpur Mata Temple for darshan and worship. There is a long queue of devotees.
