RR’s struggles were evident from the outset as they struggled to build momentum, eventually setting a modest target of 144 runs, courtesy of disciplined bowling from the Punjab Kings on a sluggish pitch. Despite a promising start in the bowling innings, with Punjab Kings at 48/4, Captain Sam Curran’s resilient innings, unbeaten at 63, supported by Ashutosh Sharma (17 not out), steered the Punjab Kings to victory.
