Preparations for assembly session begin, will bring amendment bill

Preparations have started from Thursday itself for the assembly session starting July 1. Although there is still a lot of time, but the planning details will be sent to the departments.

For the session, the Assembly Secretariat has been asked to give information about private bills by 19 June and about private resolutions by 20 June. In this session, amendment bills will be presented by some departments, including Urban Development and Housing, Public Health Engineering.

Apart from this, for this session, adjournment motion, attention seeking, information under Rule 267-A will be received in the Vidhan Sabha from June 25 in the office from 11 am to 4 pm. It is noteworthy that this will be the third session of the sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the state government had presented a vote-on-account of Rs 1 lakh 45 thousand crore in February 2024. In this session, the Mohan government will present the first full budget.

CM Yadav issues notification

According to the assembly officials, the budget has to be passed by the Assembly before July 31 and notified with the approval of Governor Mangubhai Patel. In view of this, the monsoon session has been called from July 1. With the permission of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has issued a notification on Thursday to convene the session. In the total 14 meetings, three Fridays will be available for non-official work. In this, MLAs will be able to present non-official resolutions. Amendment bills will be presented by some departments including Urban Development and Housing, Public Health Engineering.

Government will get achievements counted

It is said that the government will get its achievements counted through the budget speech. From the implementation of the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections to the innovation of regional investor summits to promote economic activities, the implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes will be mentioned. For this, the departments have been asked to provide information by June 10. The officials of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat say that the budget will be presented in the first week of July.
