- DGP greets police team for best performance in digital field in the country

The SCRB team of Madhya Pradesh Police, after receiving the award in New Delhi for taking technological initiatives in policing, today paid a courtesy call on Madhya Pradesh Police Chief DGP Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena. DGP Shri Saxena expressed happiness on this achievement and congratulated and encouraged the entire team for this. He said that Madhya Pradesh Police should be taken to new heights by using modern technology to prevent crimes. Those who have got the first prize should maintain it and those who are in second and third place should try to get first place in the coming year.
On this occasion, the entire team including ADG Shri Chanchal Shekhar, AIG Pranjali Shukla, Inspector Dolly Goswami, Head Constable (Computer) Ankush Soni and Arshdeep Singh posted at SCRB, Police Headquarters, Bhopal were honored for their excellent work.
MP Police got first prize
It is noteworthy that in the “Conference on Good Practices in CCTNS/ICJS, 2023” organized in New Delhi on 21-22 December 2023, Madhya Pradesh Police was honored by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for its excellent performance in the digital sector and The first prize has been awarded for preventing crimes using ICJS. This trophy was awarded to Madhya Pradesh Police for securing first position in the entire country for its commendable work in the implementation of ICJS (Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System). Along with this, the Forensic Branch of the state has got the second prize in the country and Madhya Pradesh Police has also got the third prize for the new initiative of e-Rakshak Mobile App.
ICJS is an important technique
ADG SCRB Shri Chanchal Shekhar said that State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) acts as the nodal agency in the implementation of ICJS in Madhya Pradesh. The SCRB coordinates with the nodal officers of all the pillars to ensure smooth functioning of the ICJS, expeditious trial of crimes and successful execution of the judicial process. SCRB holds monthly meetings of all the pillars and resolves the problems and their report is sent to the e-committee of the Honorable High Court.
Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) is an initiative of the e-Committee of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. This is an important step towards making the criminal and judicial system speedy and transparent. ICJS is essentially an integrated portal that connects police, jail, forensic, prosecution and judicial departments into a unified local judicial system and helps in improving investigation and prosecution of crimes. The objective of this system is to improve the prevention, investigation and judicial process of crimes by increasing coordination between various organizations and departments and improving functioning. Its features are Pan India Criminal Records Search, Identification of Criminal Network, 360 Degree Profiling of Suspect etc.
