Gwalior: Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said that at the annual growth rate at which the civil aviation sector is growing in India, in a few years more passengers will travel by aircraft than by first and second AC of Indian Railways.
Scindia was addressing the B20 International Conference on Aerospace here.
During this, Scindia said that at the annual growth rate at which the civil aviation sector is growing in India today, by the year 2030-2035, more passengers will travel by planes than by First AC and Second AC of Indian Railways.
Regarding Gwalior Airport, he said that the foundation stone of the upcoming terminal building of Gwalior Airport was laid in October 2022. He assured that this terminal building will be completed in a period of 15 months by the end of 2023 and will be established as the shortest terminal building in the history of India.
