Public Health Engineering Minister Rajendra Shukla takes charge

Public Health Engineering and Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla said that priority should be given to provide benefits of tap water schemes to 100 percent families.

He said that it should be ensured that the water supply schemes run smoothly. On Thursday, Minister Shukla took charge of the Public Health Engineering Department in the ministry and reviewed the departmental activities. Department’s Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Chief Engineer Sanjay Kumar Andhwan, Jal Nigam Project Director AK Jain and other departmental officers were present in the review meeting. In the meeting, Minister Shukla instructed that an adequate quantity of valve operators etc. should be installed by the contractor for the smooth operation of water supply in the group tap-water schemes from which water supply has started, so that the villagers can get the prescribed quantity on a regular basis. Pure drinking water can be available. He said that the villages benefited from the group scheme, where additional pipeline is needed to provide 100% tap water to the families, by implementing an immediate action plan for those villages, action should be taken on priority to provide tap water to the entire village.

Proposal to increase the posts of Rewa Super Specialty Hospital

Public Relations and Public Health Engineering Minister Rajendra Shukla held a meeting with senior officials of the health department in the ministry and discussed in detail the increase in the posts of Rewa Super Specialty Hospital. Minister Shukla gave instructions to the officers to place the proposal of increase in posts before the Council of Ministers. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Mohd. Suleman, Principal Secretary Medical Education Carolyn Khongwar, Commissioner Health Sudam Khade, Mission Director Pankaj Jain, Director Medical Education Arun Srivastava and other officers were present.
