For the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, BJP has announced candidates for 39 seats. After the announcement of the names, voices of protest have started rising in many places.
Former MLA Mamta Meena is fuming because of not getting a ticket in Chichoda assembly of Guna district. Mamta Meena met State President VD Sharma in Bhopal on Thursday. Mamta Meena’s rebellious tone remains intact even after meeting the state president. Mamta Meena, former BJP MLA from Chichoda assembly, says that the workers will now decide my future. Parachute candidates have come to reap the standing crop, so parachute candidates will not work. Even before this, the pain of Mamta Meena’s son Akash Meena has spilled over. While posting on Facebook, it was written that if there is no ticket for Mamta ji then there is no BJP in Chichoda.
The BJP has given ticket to Priyanka Meena, wife of an Indian Revenue Service officer posted in Delhi, from the Chichoda assembly seat in Guna district. Priyanka Meena had joined BJP on 27 February 2023.
New BJP is different from old BJP
Talking to the media, Mamta Meena said that this is a fight between the new BJP and the old BJP. She said that Priyanka’s ticket should be canceled and given to an original BJP worker. She said that my voter will decide tomorrow. She said that I have put my point before the state leadership. Mamta said that this is a test of loyalty and I want to see whether I pass or not.
