The process of joining and leaving political parties is going on with just a few months left for the assembly elections in the state. On Thursday, a big membership event of the Congress was held outside the PCC, in which leaders of BJP from Sagar, Niwari, Datia, Satna and Shivpuri joined the Congress.
BJP got a blow once again from Shivpuri district, former District Panchayat President Jitendra Jain Gotu has joined Congress. Jitendra Jain, brother of former BJP MLA, Roshni Yadav, district panchayat member of Niwari and Neeraj Sharma, former district president of Rahatgarh, have also joined Congress. This leader along with thousands of his workers joined the Congress party raising slogans of Jai Jai Kamal Nath and Jai Jai Congress. Former District President of BJP Yuva Morcha of Datia, Raju Dangi also joined Congress. Earlier, Devraj Bagri, son of former BJP MLA from Regaon Jugal Kishore Bagri and daughter-in-law Vandana Bagri joined the Congress.
Mass gathering shows the public has made up its mind
During this, PCC Chief Kamal Nath said that a large number of Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and thousands of workers have come here today to join the Congress party.
I heartily welcome all of you to the Congress party. For the last 1 year, the workers and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are joining the Congress. This is a clear indication that the people of Madhya Pradesh have made up their mind for change. After 3 months, the victory of the Congress party is certain in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections.
Give membership to people
After giving membership of Congress party to all the people, Kamal Nath said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have made up their mind that they will uproot the 18 years of misrule of Shivraj government. The huge gathering here today is proof of this fact. Kamal Nath said that the Shivraj government rests on propaganda, atrocities and corruption. Kamal Nath said that the Shivraj government is running on the principle of ‘give money and get work done’. The state has been identified with corruption and scams. All the workers have to work hard and uproot the government which is immersed in this corruption.
