Jai-Veeru fighting over looted property: Shivraj

  • Taunt through Sholay’s dialogues
  • Shivraj targets Kamal Nath and Digvijay
  • Why are both the leaders being called to Delhi?

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has taken a dig at the reports of rift between two former Congress Chief Ministers — Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh. He said that this Jai-Veeru duo is fighting for looted property.

Recently, while reacting to this, General Secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Randeep Surjewala had said that both are Jai-Veeru of Sholay. Gabbar’s attempt to break their duo had failed and now BJP’s will also fail. After this, both the leaders were called to Delhi by the Congress high command on Monday. An effort was made to bring about reconciliation between the two in the presence of senior leaders in Delhi late on Monday night. Countering this, Shivraj said that the pair of Jai and Veeru were called to Delhi. Now they say that BJP is spreading confusion, so why is the party calling them to Delhi? Jai and Veeru of Congress are fighting among themselves for the loot. Jai and Veeru used to rob. Their fight is for the loot! Even before 2003, Mr. Bantadhar (Digvijay Singh) looted and ruined the entire state. Within a year and a quarter, Kamal Nath ji had also made it a den of loot. Now there is a fight going on about who should loot next, how much to loot and how much share to have in it.

Amidst the Sholay fame Jai-Veeru duo being in the headlines in the state on Tuesday ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath targeted Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that Jai and Veeru had settled the account of the tyrant Gabbar Singh.

Kamal Nath posted on social media platform: “Madhya Pradesh has been suffering from atrocities for 18 years. The time has come for the end of tyranny. Rest you are wise.”

Earlier, without naming anyone, Chauhan had said that there is a fight between the Jai-Veeru duo of Congress over distribution of loot. It is understood that his statement was in the context of Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh. It is noteworthy that after 4 thousand nominations were filed for the assembly elections in the state, a period of honor and respect has started.
