Hyderabad: Ramoji Rao’s last rites with state honours on Sunday

Hyderabad, June 8 (UNI) The final rites of Media tycoon and legendary personality Ramoji Rao will be held with state honours in Ramoji Film City, near here on Sunday.

The 87-year-old Ramoji Rao, the founder of Ramoji Film City and head of the ETV network, passed away during the early hours of Saturday at a corporate hospital in the city while receiving medical care.

The Congress government announced to perform the last rites to the mortal remains of Media mogul and Eenadu Group Chairman Ramoji with state honours.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is in Delhi to attend the CWC meeting, directed the officials to conduct the last rites of Ramoji with official honour.

AP CM-designate Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is currently in New Delhi, reached Hyderabad to pay his respects at Ramoji Film City.

JanaSena party Chief Pawan Kalyan who is also currently in New Delhi for important meetings with the NDA alliance, will soon travel to Hyderabad to pay his respects.

Respecting the legendary personality Ramoji Rao on his demise, the Telugu Film Chamber announced mourning and all the Telugu film shoots will be cancelled for Sunday.

The legendary media baron introduced several directors, actors and technicians who were highly successful and emerged as stars.

Apart from this, he also built a world-class studio Ramoji Film City which has extensive space for film shooting and post-production.

Films like Baahubali, KGF and Pushpa are shot in space.

Several Bollywood films too are being shot in Ramoji Film City, the biggest studio in Asia.

Several top celebrities, media persons and also politicians went to Ramoji Film City to offer their condolences and pay their last respects to Ramoji Rao.
