Bhopal: Paid leave will be approved on May 7, the voting day in Bhopal. Bhopal Collector and District Election Officer Kaushlendra Vikram Singh said that Lok Sabha elections have been announced. Under Section 135B of the Public Representation Act 1951, voting day is on 07 May in the limits of Bhopal district assembly constituencies, Berasia, Bhopal North, Narela, Bhopal South-West, Bhopal Central, Govindpura and Huzur assembly constituencies. Every person employed in any business, profession, industrial undertaking or any other establishment, who is entitled to vote as a voter, shall be granted paid leave on the polling day.

Singh said that daily wage laborers and casual workers will also be eligible to receive leave and wages on the day of voting.
