Gen Pande asks NCC cadets to take up leadership roles

New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) The Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande called upon the NCC cadets to take up leadership role in various professions besides the armed forces.

He also urged them to put their heart and mind into everything they undertake and become and become role models for the youth of the nation.

Gen Pande was addressing the NCC cadets during his visit to the NCC Republic Day Camp 2024 at the DGNCC Camp here on Tuesday, an official statement said.

Gen Pande also motivated the cadets to believe in themselves and equip with determination and move ahead wth firm resolve.

The COAS highlighted about the significant contribution of NCC in national building activities including social service schemes like blood donation camps, environmental conservation and Puneet Sagar Abhiyan etc.

The COAS also expressed his delight in the fact that many former NCC cadets hold high positions in the government and armed forces.

Gen Pande reviewed the Gaurd of Honour by cadets, which was followed by a band. He also visited the ‘Flag Area’ created by the NCC cadets depicting social awareness themes and cultural activities.
