Jammu, Feb 1 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Saturday stated that the restoration of promised statehood to Jammu and Kashmir will give momentum to the ongoing development activities in the region.
“The restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir will help the democratically elected government in addressing the concerns,” Abdullah said while interacting with various delegations here at his residence.
The party President was informed about the significant improvements on the ground under the elected government, led by Omar Abdullah.
The delegations also raised long-standing issues.
The party’s Provincial President Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta was also present on the occasion.
Dr Abdullah as per the statement, further said the winds of change that have brought a democratic government to the region, with Omar Abdullah at the helm steering towards safer shores will work for every section of society, ensuring the benefits of progress reach every doorstep.
