Bhopal: Mohan Yadav has assumed the role of Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh, yet the presence of Shivraj Singh Chouhan remains deeply ingrained in the minds of the state’s residents. This sentiment was evident during Mohan Yadav’s swearing-in ceremony. Following the conclusion of the event, a throng of BJP workers, youth leaders, and the general public surrounded Shivraj Singh Chouhan, many tearfully addressing him as “mama-mama.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan found himself encircled by an enthusiastic crowd eager for selfies and the opportunity to connect with him. Despite his efforts to greet and embrace as many people as possible, the overwhelming numbers prompted security personnel to guide him into a waiting car.
Shivraj struggled to contain his emotions
Even inside the car, the crowd persisted, expressing their concerns to Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Youth leaders vocalized their feelings, lamenting that without him, they would feel orphaned. Moved by these sentiments, Shivraj Singh Chouhan struggled to contain his emotions, preventing tears from streaming down his face. The emotional atmosphere affected everyone in such a way that tears welled up in the eyes of onlookers as they observed Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Ex-CM communicated through his body language
Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s popularity was evident as people chose to surround him rather than the newly appointed CM, Mohan Yadav. The expectations were palpable as Shivraj Singh Chouhan, without uttering a word, communicated through his body language, addressing the unspoken questions of those gathered around him.
While the entire BJP high command stood beside the new CM, Mohan Yadav, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his supporters created a contrasting scene. Despite the transition, the emotional connection between Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the people remained strong.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed directly to Raj Bhavan. There, he engaged in discussions with the Governor and Mohan Yadav regarding the cabinet. Notably, Shivraj Singh Chouhan chose to stay away from this meeting, highlighting a shift in leadership dynamics within the party.
Shivraj updates social media designation
In the aftermath of the recent leadership change in Madhya Pradesh, politicians have updated their social media designations to reflect the power transition. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, acknowledging the change in responsibilities, has amended his bio on social media platform X, transitioning from “Chief Minister” to “Former Chief Minister.”
This digital adjustment serves as a symbolic representation of the political transformation in the state as Chouhan hands over leadership to the newly elected Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav. Simultaneously, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has promptly responded to this change by updating its profile picture on X from Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s to Mohan Yadav’s.
