City all set to celebrate I-Day with zeal and patriotic fervour today

Bhopal: Preparations are almost complete to celebrate the 76th Independence Day in Madhya Pradesh with pomp and gaiety. The Lal Parade Ground in the capital Bhopal is ready for the police parade. All the government buildings in the city have been attractively decked up on the eve of Independence Day.

At the same time, authorities are ensuring that there should be no untoward incident in the capital. RPF has become active for this. Intensive checking is being done at the stations coming under Bhopal division.

The main program of Independence Day will be held at Lal Parade Ground in the presence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The final rehearsal of the parade to be held today took place in the presence of Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena.

Top police officers reviewed the arrangements for the parade and other programs to be held on August 15. Other officers, including DGP Sudhir Saxena, ADGP Farid Shapu and Collector Ashish Singh, took stock of the preparations.

Battalions of various forces will take part in the parade at Lal Parade Ground. These include MP State Police Force, Special Armed Force (North Zone), Women’s Special Armed Force, District Force and Joint Contingent of Railways, Hawkforce, STF, District Police Force, Jail Department, Government Railway Police, Municipal Army (Home Guard), N C.C. (Senior Wing Girls), N.C.C. (Senior Division), Guide Girls, Scouts Boys, Shaurya Dal, Ladli Bahna and Ashwarohi Dal. During this, officers and employees who have received the President’s Medal will be awarded.

Intensive checking in progress

In order to make the Independence Day a success and to further strengthen the security system, intensive checking is being done at railway stations in Bhopal division. Stations are being monitored with the help of CCTV. For this, RPF is working closely with GRP, Civil Police and Railway Administration.

RPF, with the help of local police is conducting intensive checking of passengers arriving at the station, parcels going by rail, inflammable items, bombs etc. The assistance of baggage scanners is being taken to check the luggage of passengers.

Keeping in mind the safety of passengers in special passenger trains coming to Bhopal, RPF is monitoring CCTV. With the help of CCTV cameras installed in the station, RPF is constantly monitoring suspicious people on the station and railway premises.

Military Band to hold presentation at Shaurya Smarak

A presentation based on patriotism and national pride will be given by a Military Band of Sudarshan Chakra Corps 3 EME Center from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Shaurya Smarak on Independence Day. On the completion of 76 years of independence by the Corps, from 13 to 15 August in Bhopal, the military band is presenting patriotic and national-pride tunes for the common people.
