The annual fair will be organized in the world famous tourist destination Sanchi on 25 and 26 November. Delegations of Buddhist followers from other countries including Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan are coming to participate in this Buddhist festival. After three years, Chief Vanagal Upatis Nayak Thero of Mahabodhi Society Sri Lanka, is also coming to participate in the Sanchi Festival.
Preparations for this fair have started in Sanchi, but due to the code of conduct for the assembly elections, the meeting has not been held at the administrative level yet, but it is being said that the meeting will be held after the voting on 17th November. This time there is still doubt whether there will be a three-day cultural program organized by the Ministry of Culture or not. Everyone waits for the annual fair held in Sanchi on the last Sunday of November. Here, a large number of tourists from India and abroad flock to see the ashes of the two main disciples of Lord Gautam Buddha, Arhat Sariputra and Arhat Mahamogalayana. These urns are taken out for darshan for two days.
