- Three arrested, crane worth Rs. 15 lakhs recovered
Bhopal: Police has recovered a crane worth Rs. 15 lakhs stolen from in front of petrol pump located at Karond Square of Nishatpura police station. In this case, three people including the old driver of the crane, his elder brother and friend have been arrested. The driver was angry at the owner not paying salary on time, so he stole the crane as soon as he got the chance. Before the accused could reach Vidisha and sell the crane to someone, the police caught them.
According to the information, Ankit Sahu, resident of Vishwakarma Nagar Karond, works as a driver near the water tank. Currently, he drives Ramesh Kumar Thakur’s Tata crane. On the night of 15th January, at around 8 pm, Ankit parked the Tata crane near Indian Oil Petrol Pump located at Karond Square and after informing the owner, he took the keys and went to his home.
When he reached the petrol pump the next morning at around 10 am, the Tata crane was missing. When he informed the crane owner Ramesh Kumar Thakur and supervisor Pyarebhai about this, both of them also reached the spot. The three searched for the crane at every possible place nearby, but could not find it. After that, they went to Nishatpura police station and lodged a report of crane theft. The price of the stolen crane was said to be Rs 15 lakh.
During the investigation, the police team checked the videos and footage of more than 60 CCTV cameras installed at the spot as well as other areas and toll nakas. Along with this, informers were activated and people were questioned on the routes going to Bairasia and Vidisha. During this time, information was received that the crane stolen from in front of the petrol pump was stolen by its old driver Pradeep Kushwaha along with his associates and it was taken towards Vidisha.
After this information, when the police searched for the accused on the Vidisha road, the crane was seen standing on the roadside in an empty place. Three boys were roaming near the crane. When the police arrived, the three boys tried to run away, but were surrounded and caught. On interrogation, they revealed their names as Pradeep Kushwaha (24), his elder brother Raju Kushwaha (27) resident of village Khejra, police station Shamshabad and friend Ramkumar Raikwar (26) resident of village Bairkhedi, police station Kurwai district Vidisha. The police arrested all three and seized the stolen crane. 40,000 withdrawn using stolen ATM
A miscreant stole the purse from the pocket of a head constable posted in Kohefija police station. Later, with the help of the ATM kept in the purse, 40 thousand rupees were withdrawn from the account. The head constable came to know about the incident after receiving a message of money deduction from the bank. The police have registered a case against the unknown thieves and started looking for them. Efforts are being made to trace the accused with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area. Five hundred rupees in cash and an ATM card were kept in the purse.
After some time, a message from the bank came on his mobile phone, which informed about the withdrawal of 40 thousand rupees from the account. When Vinod tried to take out his purse to check his ATM, he found that the purse was missing. Actually, Vinod’s ATM is also used by his wife sometimes, who had to tell the secret PIN. Therefore, he had written the PIN number on the ATM card itself. Using this PIN, the miscreant withdrew money from the account. Police has registered a case against unknown accused and started investigation.
Woman caught red handed stealing purse
Kotwali police has arrested a woman red handed while stealing a person’s purse in cloth market. The accused woman was caught by local people and handed over to police. At first, the woman kept misleading the police, but when the female police staff searched her, the stolen purse was recovered. Initial investigation revealed that the woman was committing such crimes in the market and crowded areas for the last ten years.
