Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, the Eye Bank under the Department of Ophthalmology organized a two-day eye donation awareness campaign. This campaign was held in observance of International Nurses Day, with the aim of educating nursing staff about the importance of eye donation.
At AIIMS Bhopal, International Nurses Day is being celebrated over a fortnight, and accordingly, such awareness campaigns and initiatives are planned throughout this period to engage and honor the nursing community. Nursing officers, senior nursing officers, and assistant nursing superintendents working in various wards and ICUs of AIIMS Bhopal participated in the campaign. They filled out pledge forms for eye donation and took an oath not only to donate their own eyes but also to encourage patients and their attendants to do the same. The enthusiastic participation of the nursing staff demonstrated their deep sense of social responsibility and commitment to serving the community.
