UN failed to resolve Palestine issue for decades: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Oct 08 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Sunday regretted the United Nations (UN) has failed to resolve the Palestine issue for decades now.

Talking to media persons here, Farooq said “unfortunately United Nations has failed to resolve the Palestine issue which has been pending for decades and innocent people are being killed”.

“War in any aspect is bad and causing loss to the people”, he said, and added “how many Israelis died and how many innocent Palestinians died during the conflict”

The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said war is not a solution to anything.

People Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti, taking to X said “Unfortunate that it takes such death and destruction for the world to awaken to the Israel-Palestinian conflict”.

She said deafening silence is maintained year after year as innocent Palestinians are murdered and their homes destroyed.

“Today, just because the shoe on the other foot is pinching, the so called democracies are outraged. This selective outrage is criminal to say the least. Resolve Palestine so that peace prevails”, she said on X.
