Two soldiers die in two separate accidents in Kupwara

Srinagar, Sep 23 (UNI) Two soldiers died in two separate accidents in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district during an operational duty, officials said on Monday.

They said Sepoy Bansod Dipak Divakar and Sapper (Spr) Siddharth Chib, died in unfortunate accidents, while on operational duty.

Official sources said Sepoy Divakar died in Nowgam sector of Handwara and Spr Chib died at Watyan Handwara.

“ The two died in separate accidents last evening,” they said.

Meanwhile, Army Srinagar based Chinar Corps said the two died in unfortunate accidents, while on operational duty.

“ChinarCorps deeply regrets the untimely demise of Sep Bansod Dipak Divakar and Spr Siddharth Chib, in unfortunate accidents, while on Operational duty. ChinarWarriors salute their immense valour and sacrifice, express deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved families,” the Army Chinar Corps posted on X.

It did not share further details about the accidents.
