Tragic road accident claims lives of two BJP workers in Guna

Guna : A devastating road accident claimed the lives of two BJP workers in Guna late on Tuesday night, sending shockwaves through the community.

The unfortunate incident occurred when a speeding car, reportedly driven by a trainee pilot, collided with the scooty carrying the victims, dragging them mercilessly for about 100 meters along the main road near New City Colony under Kotwali police station.

The victims, identified as district BJP secretary Anand Raghuvanshi (Magrana) and Kamlesh Yadav, husband of the sarpanch of Mohanpur village, faced the brunt of the collision. While Kamlesh Yadav tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot, Raghuvanshi fought bravely but eventually succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a hospital in Bhopal.

Scindia cancels all political engagements

In a gesture of respect, Union Minister and BJP candidate from Guna LS, Jyotiraditya Scindia, promptly canceled all his political engagements and meetings for the day. Expressing profound sorrow, Scindia took to social media to extend heartfelt condolences to the families and the people of Guna.

The car involved, driven by trainee driver Saurabh Yadav from Noida, accompanied by another trainee pilot named Abhash from Hyderabad, was swiftly apprehended by authorities. Both individuals, undergoing training at a local aviation academy, were arrested, and the car was seized, confirmed Kotwali police station in-charge Anoop Bhargava.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed deep sorrow and shock over the tragic incident, emphasizing the loss suffered by the BJP. In his statement, he lamented the loss of two dedicated party members, acknowledging the profound impact on the community. Scindia also offered prayers for the recovery of the injured party member, extending solidarity and support during this difficult time.
