Throw out AIMIM from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Shah

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, (UNI) Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Tuesday appealed people of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to throw out AIMIM from here and elect a Mahayuti candidate to strengthen hands of Narendra Modi to become prime minister for third consecutive time.

Addressing a public rally here, he said, “Former Union Home minister Sardar Vallabbhai Patel freed Marathwada region from the clutches of Nizam in 1948. Now you should throw out AIMIM from here.”

Targeting the opposition leaders of INDIA bloc, he accused them of being selfish and said that they were working to set up their children in politics but not for the country.

Continuing his attack further, he said that they are opposing several decisions taken by the Modi government including Article 370, triple talaq, Ram temple, amendment of new laws to finish terrorism and Naxalism.

Shah challenged NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray to give account of previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government’s period and alleged that during UPA regime from 2004 to 2014, Maharashtra got only Rs 1,91,000 thousand crores.

On other hand, when the NDA government came to power at the Centre in 2014, the state has received Rs 7,15,890 thousand crore till today and there are Rs 8,000 crore worth projects ongoing in the state, he informed.

He also highlighted a number of welfare schemes undertaken by the Modi government in past 10 years and claimed that the Modi government has done a lot of work compared to the previous governments.

On Modi’s popularity, Shah said that the Prime Minister has been felicitated by the heads of around 15 foreign countries with those countries’ highest awards and remarked that this is not felicitation of Modi but of 130 crore countrymen.

He also made an appeal to people to help Modi win 400 plus seats in country and 45 plus in Maharashtra.

Before reaching the venue of the rally, Shah visited historic Kranti chowk and garland the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and paid tributes to him.

Earlier in the day, he visited Akola and took a review of the party in a meeting and later, addressed the Yuva Sammelan rally at Jalgaon.

Shah tonight left for Mumbai, where he will meet Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputies Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis and discuss with them the seat-sharing formula.
