Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the people of the state have been urged to actively participate in the ‘Namami Gange Abhiyan’ running from June 5 ‘Environment Day’ to June 16. ‘Ganga Dussehra’ aims to create awareness about environmental protection and water conservation and augmentation in the state. He said that this earth is rich only because of trees and water, they are the basis of life, various programmes focused on water conservation will be organised under the campaign. Activities will be conducted to boost water awareness among the general public by cleaning rivers, ponds, wells, step-wells with public participation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we should become a part of the water awareness related activities conducted by the Madhya Pradesh government and by joining the festivals centered on water, we should also understand the secrets hidden behind them. CM Dr. Yadav made this appeal to the people of the state through social media.
