Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Friday bounced back by 304.33 points to 69,826.07, a new high in the opening session on the strength of Metal, Realty, Technology and BSE services.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) moved up 80.20 points to 20,981.35.
The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 69,888.33 and 69,606.69 points, respectively.
The Nifty registered intraday highs and lows at 21,006.10 and 20,932.55 points, respectively.
The Mid Cap gained 0.25 pc and Small Cap by 0.42 pc.
The gainers were JSW Steel by 3.30 pc to be 846.35, NTPC by 2.09 pc to Rs 290, HCL Technologies by 1.73 pc to Rs 1350.20 and IndusInd Bank by 1.14 pc to Rs 1519.
The losers were M&M by 0.88 pc to Rs 1678, Bajaj Finance by 0.73 pc to Rs 7340, Bharti Airtel by 0.39 pc to Rs 994.90 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.28 pc to Rs 10,662.70.
