Scindia wins by about 5.5 lakh votes

Guna: Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Guna-Shivpuri parliamentary seat of Madhya Pradesh, which has been the center of discussions across the country, has once again retained the BJP’s hold on this seat by defeating his nearest Congress candidate by about five and a half lakh votes.

According to the information given by the Election Commission, Scindia got nine lakh 23 thousand 302 votes. At the same time, Congress candidate Yadavendra Rao Deshraj Singh got three lakh 82 thousand 373 votes.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP had fielded KP Yadav from this seat, who contested against Scindia, who was in the Congress at that time, and won from here and reached Parliament. After this, Scindia joined BJP in 2020 and later BJP made him a Union Minister by making him a Rajya Sabha MP. This time BJP cancelled the ticket of Mr Yadav and fielded Mr Scindia from here.
