The heat has started troubling the common people. In view of the heat and heat wave, summer holidays have been announced in schools. Children studying in government schools of the School Education Department will be given summer vacation from May 1 to June 15 and teachers will be given summer vacation from May 1 to May 31. Teachers’ organizations have protested against reducing the number of holidays. Executive President of Government Teachers Organization, Upendra Kaushal, said that there will be no eligibility for earned leave in lieu of reduction in leave, whereas in other departments, the facility of 30 days’ earned leave every year and holiday on Saturday of every month is being provided.
