Sanchi also hikes milk rates after Amul

Bhopal: After Amul, now Sanchi has also hiked the rate of milk. The price has been hiked by 2 rupees for 1 liter milk pack, while one rupee has been increased on half a liter. New rates will be applicable from May 7.

Apart from Bhopal, Sanchi milk has become expensive in Indore too. At the same time, Ujjain, Gwalior, Sagar, Bundelkhand Milk Unions are also increasing the rates.

Over 3.5 lakh liters of Sanchi milk is consumed daily in Bhopal

Sanchi is the most consumed packed milk in Bhopal. More than 3.5 lakh liters of milk is consumed every day. Amul’s consumption is 70 thousand liters. After this, Saurabh, Shridhi, Mother Dairy milk are also sold in packets. About 1 lakh liters of Saurabh and Shridhi milk is consumed in the city and rural areas of Bhopal daily. Most of the Mother Dairy brand milk is consumed in the city itself.

In Bhopal, more loose milk is sold than packed milk. The consumption of loose milk is 8 to 9 lakh liters per day. Loose milk has also become expensive. There has been an increase of up to Rs 2 per liter at many dairies.

Sanchi had increased rates in July last year. After about 10 months, the milk rate has been increased again. However, the rate of Sanchi DTM 160 ml toned milk and Parivar 200 mm packed milk has not been increased.

Amul had increased the rates 6 days ago. 6 days ago, i.e., on May 1, Amul had increased the price of milk. 2 rupees were increased on 1 liter of milk, while one rupee was increased on half a liter. New rates have come into effect in all the districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior-Jabalpur.
