Rich tributes paid to Kargil martyrs in city

Vikas Parv in Seoni Malwa Various programmes were held in the city to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas and glowing tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh  Chouhan paid tribute to the martyred soldiers by laying a wreath at the Shaurya Stambh at Shaurya Smarak on Kargil Vijay Diwas. Recalling the bravery, indomitable courage and sacrifice of the soldiers, the CM paid homage on behalf of the people of the state. In a message to the media at the Shaurya Smarak, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said, “They were the ones who sacrificed everything to free every inch of our country from enemies, we are proud of them. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister at that time.

Our forces have shown that if anyone raises his eyes towards Mother India, he will not be spared. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, a gloriousprosperous-flourishing and powerful India has been built, India is now a superpower.” CM Chouhan said that we salute the brave soldiers of the Army, Navy and Air Force engaged in the  security of the country’s borders. We are proud of our forces and soldiers of the country.
