Residents boycott voting in some villages

Bhopal: In Badapura village under Mahatoli Gram Panchayat of Banmore area of Morena district, 734 rural voters have boycotted voting at polling booth number 301. Villagers say that if there is no school then there is no vote. They boycotted the vote to demand the primary school which has been closed for the last 10 years. People of Kushwaha community live in the village.

Villagers have told that more than 300 children of their village are going to other villages to study due to lack of school in the village, due to which they are facing a lot of problems. Today all the villagers have united and decided not to vote.

For the last six hours, no rural voter has reached the polling booth to cast his vote. Hearing the news of non-casting of votes at Badapura polling booth, Tehsildar Banmore reached the spot with his subordinate staff and tried to convince the villagers. But the villagers were not ready to vote.

Villagers boycott voting in village of Bunty Patel

Villagers have boycotted the elections in the village of Bunty Patel, who had demanded Congress ticket from Chaurai in Chhindwara. Here, no voter exercised his franchise from morning to 1:30 pm. The voting percentage here is zero. It is being told that the villagers are very angry with Congress for not giving ticket to Bunty Patel. The polling team has been sitting here empty handed since morning. Administrative officials also tried to convince the villagers, but no one is ready to agree.

This morning in Ujjain North Assembly, Sanjay, son of Ambaram Malviya, resident of Ward No. 6, resident of Gandhinagar, had reached the polling booth to exercise his franchise. Where, as soon as he was coming out after casting his vote, he felt dizzy and suddenly fell down outside the polling station. He was immediately taken to the hospital by the staff and security personnel present at the polling station, where he died. He probably died due to heart attack.

Voters angry in Kusumah, boycotted voting

Voters have boycotted voting at 43 polling booths in village Kusumah of Manpur Assembly. However, responsible election officials including the Tehsildar have reached the polling booth and are giving advice to the voters. It is said that the villagers have been demanding Panpatha to Kusumaha road for a long time, but the voters are angry over non-construction. It is mostly inhabited by the Baiga community. Apart from this, there are also 42 polling booths in this village, where voters are enthusiastic.

BJP-Congress face to face in Shujalpur

BJP and Congress workers came face to face in Shujalpur assembly seat of Shajapur district. During this dispute, BJP’s Shujalpur candidate minister Inder Singh Parmar was also present there and there was a ruckus in his presence. Also, at the polling center where the uproar took place, voting was halted for 40 minutes due to the EVM machine malfunctioning.
