Bhopal: Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath responded to the central government’s promotional strategies regarding the Ayodhya Ram Temple, stating that the temple is a collective heritage, and the BJP does not possess exclusive rights to it.
Speaking to the audience in Chhindwara, Kamal Nath emphasized that the temple’s construction is in accordance with Supreme Court directives, and as the ruling party, the BJP holds the responsibility for its progress. He underscored that the BJP should not claim exclusive ownership of the Ram Mandir.
Kamal Nath’s colleague and Congress’ Rajya Sabha member, Digvijay Singh, raised concerns about the participation of political leaders instead of spiritual leaders in the Pran Pratishthan ceremony. Singh took to social media, questioning whether true followers of Sanatan Dharma were among Shankaracharyas or leaders from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and BJP.
