Pt. Pradeep Mishra gets head injury, brain swelling

  • Says – I will not narrate story of Shiva Mahapuran till I get well

Sehore’s famous storyteller Pt. Pradeep Mishra got hit on the head by a coconut during Mahadev Holi in Ashta, due to which his brain swelled. For this reason, Shiv Mahapuran Katha to be held in Manasa of Neemuch district has been cancelled. On Monday, Pandit Mishra came to the stage of the venue for some time and while giving this information, expressed regret to the devotees and left.

According to the information received, a seven-day Shiv Mahapuran Katha was organized by the Rathore family in Manasa of Neemuch district from April 1 to April 7. In which the story was to be narrated from the mouth of Sehore’s famous storyteller Pt. Pradeep Mishra. Earlier too, the administration had canceled the permission for the Katha due to the preparations for the Katha. After this, all the societies and public representatives took the responsibility of the arrangements and finalized the preparations. After this the administration gave back the permission for the story. During this period the police administration also worked hard.

Head injury from coconut in Ashta

On Monday, April 1, in Manasa, storyteller Pandit Mishra, while addressing all the devotees from the stage, said that on March 29, during Mahadev Holi in Ashta of Sehore district, someone threw a coconut instead of gulal, that coconut hit my head, which caused brain damage. The doctors advised him not to tell the story. Pandit Mishra apologized to all the devotees and said that the story would not be possible unless his health is good. If health improves then there will be an upcoming story. Otherwise this will also be cancelled.

Devotees returned disappointed, many women started crying

Complete preparations for the Shiva Mahapuran story were made in Manasa. A grand Kalash Yatra was also taken out on Sunday, March 31; on Monday, more than 40 thousand devotees had come to listen to the Katha, but after the announcement of cancellation of the Katha, many women started crying.
