PM Modi’s grand road show in Jabalpur

  • ‘Sanskardhani’ made its name meaningful; women performed PM’s aarti

Jabalpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today started the election campaign in Madhya Pradesh before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the form of a grand road show from Jabalpur, during which the people of Jabalpur, known as ‘Sanskardhani’, participated in making the name of their city relevant and meaningful.

During this show of about an hour amid tight security, the people of Jabalpur were seen fully embracing their culture, seeing which PM Modi also appeared emotional at many places. During almost the entire road show, people from different communities were seen in traditional costumes. At many places, women in traditional attire were seen performing Aarti of Modi from the balconies of their homes. Seeing the women in this posture, Modi not only greeted them by shaking hands, but at many places he also bowed and saluted the women with folded hands. A large number of women and children were present on both sides of the road in the road show.

In this road show held in Jabalpur, the most important city of Mahakaushal region, along with Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, State Government Minister Rakesh Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Jabalpur parliamentary constituency Ashish Dubey were also present. During the road show, Modi was seen holding the party’s election symbol lotus flower in his hand, which he showed to the public at every place.

Glimpses of tribal dance seen

This road show, which started from the local Bhagat Singh Chowk, started with chanting of mantras, after which the presence of Sant Samaj was also visible on the stages built on the way. There is a large number of tribal population in Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara seats adjacent to Jabalpur, hence during the road show held today, glimpses of tribal dance were also seen at many places. Almost all the establishments and houses on the route looked bathed in light. During this time, enthusiastic people were also heard raising slogans of Jai Ram.

Jabalpur is the main city of Mahakaushal zone. Voting in the first phase of the state will be held on April 19 in Mandla, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Sidhi and Shahdol parliamentary constituencies including Jabalpur. The election campaign is gaining momentum in these areas and will end on the evening of April 17.

A BJP leader said special arrangements were in place to shower Modi with flowers when the roadshow passed through Gorakhpur market.
