Chennai, Sep 23 (UNI) Accusing the BJP-led government at the centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of working against poor and downtrodden and following communal, divisive and corporate-driven politics, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Chief M.K.Stalin on Saturday said people should united to defeat the BJP government comrehensively in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In his podcast to prevent the country by being deceived by the BJP again , he said the people of the country have realised that Mr Narendra Modi is a person who is working against the poor, the downtrodden, the backward classes, the scheduled castes and the scheduled tribes.
“This has been proven by the defeat faced by BJP in the recent elections across various states of India”, he added.
“In the 2024 elections, the BJP must be defeated comprehensively”, he said.
“All the people of India must unite as one voice to put an end to the BJP’s communal, divisive, authoritarian, and corporate-driven politics. Safeguarding our beloved India, which stands united in diversity, is a responsibility that rests in the hands of each and every one of us”, the Chief Minister declared in his video post.
“I wish to prevent our country and its people from being deceived by the BJP again. Hence, I have started this ‘Speaking for India’ podcast series”, he said.
“As deceived in the year 2014 – As deceived in the year 2019 – Our country should not be fooled in 2024 too”, he said. .
“Before coming to power in 2014, – Gujarat was falsely projected as a haven of prosperity–as if it were flourishing all around–and through such lies, Mr Narendra Modi falsely projected himself to be the beacon of development”, he recalled.
Mr Modi had said “The Congress party has ruled India for 60 years. Give me 60 months. I will make India a developed nation”. The people of India have given him the opportunity to rule not only for 60 months – but also for another 60 months. Has he made us a developed country?
That is the question he must answer. Can he list everything that India has achieved under his leadership in terms of development?”, Mr Stalin asked.
