Nomination of 140 candidates found valid in third phase

Bhopal: According to the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the nomination papers received in 9 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies for the third phase were scrutinized on Saturday. During scrutiny, nomination papers of 140 candidates were found valid. The nomination papers of 13 candidates were rejected after scrutiny as they were not in accordance with the law.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said that nomination papers of 16 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-1 Morena, 8 candidates in number-2 Bhind (SC), 21 candidates in number-3 Gwalior, 17 candidates in number-4 Guna, 14 candidates in number-5 Sagar, 16 candidates in number- 18 Vidisha, 25 candidates in number- 19 Bhopal, 15 candidates in number- 20 Rajgarh and of 8 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 29 Betul (ST) were found valid. Nomination papers of 2 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency Morena, 1 in Bhind, 1 in Gwalior, 4 in Vidisha, 3 in Bhopal, 1 in Rajgarh and 1 in Betul have been rejected as they were not found valid after scrutiny.

25 nomination filed by 17 candidates in 4th phase

CEO Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase is going on. On Saturday, April 20, the third day of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase, 6 candidates submitted 9 nomination papers. So far, 25 nomination papers have been filed by 17 candidates.

Rajan said that for the fourth phase, on the third day on April 20, one nomination paper was filed by one candidate in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 22 Ujjain (SC), 3 nomination papers by 2 candidates in No. 23 Mandsaur, 1 nomination paper by 1 candidate in No. 26 Indore and 4 nomination papers were filed by 2 candidates in No. 28 Khandwa. In the remaining Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the fourth phase, No. 21 Dewas (SC), No. 24 Ratlam (ST), No. 25 Dhar (ST) and No. 27 Khargone (ST), no nomination papers were filed today by any candidate.
