Narmadapuram will be made a holy city

  • Liquor shops will remain 1.5 km away from city, meat will not be sold in open

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our government is committed to stop polluted water from flowing into the Narmada. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced an amount of Rs 15 crore for the construction works to stop polluted water from flowing into the Narmada. He took part in ‘Maa Narmada Jayanti Mahotsav’ and Narmadapuram Pride Day organized at Sethani Ghat in Narmadapuram district besides dedicating and performing bhoomi pujan of 32 development works worth Rs 191.34 crore.

Dr. Yadav performed the aarti of Maa Narmada as per rituals. MLAs Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, Vijay Pal Singh and Prem Shankar Verma, Rajya Sabha candidate Smt. Maya Narolia and Municipality chief Smt. Neetu Mahendra Yadav, public representatives and devotees were present.

Dr. Yadav said that Narmadapuram will be transformed into a holy city. Sale of meat in the open will be banned and liquor shops will remain one and a half kilometers away from the city. The use of loud speakers will also be controlled. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ayush College will be established in Narmadapuram, to enable students to pursue Ayurveda education.

Dr. Yadav said that every day is celebrated like a festival in our country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended congratulations on Narmada Jayanti and prayed for the prosperity of the state.

A short film on Narmadapuram Pride Day was screened. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was honoured with a shawl, Shriphal and memento.
