MP makes record in GST collection

Madhya Pradesh Commercial Tax Department has created a new record in GST collection. The department has achieved revenue of Rs 3304 crore in December 2023. This amount is the highest revenue received in a month after the implementation of GST in 2017.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Deputy CM Jagdish Deora congratulated on this. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav wrote on social media that congratulations to Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora and the entire team of the Commercial Tax Department on the achievement of record collection of GST revenue. He further wrote that he also thanks all the taxpayers of our state for their continuous support and trust. The Chief Minister wrote that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is fully prepared to play an important role in achieving its high goals of the economy. While giving information, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora wrote that the commercial tax department of the state has created a new record in GST revenue collection. The Commercial Tax Department has received GST revenue of Rs 3304 crore in the month of December 2023.

Employees deserve congratulations

This amount is the highest revenue received in any month after the implementation of GST in July 2017. The hardworking taxpayers, tax consultants, chartered accountants and departmental officers of the state deserve congratulations for this historic achievement of the Commercial Tax Department.
