Kanpur, May 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took out a grand road show in seven assemblies of Kanpur and Akbarpur Lok Sabha constituencies.
Enthusiasm was witnessed among the men as well as women and children who came to the road show for the Prime Minister.
On his arrival at Chakeri Air Force Airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
PM Modi’s convoy left for Ramadevi from the Airport via Harjendra Nagar and during this time all the MLAs and BJP leaders were also present with him. There was so much enthusiasm among the people regarding the Prime Minister’s road show that from around 3 PM people were seen standing on both sides of the roadshow route with flags and lotus signs in their hands and wearing Modi masks on their faces.
Before the roadshow, the Prime Minister first bowed his head at the Kirtangarh Gurdwara in Gumti. During this, he was given a grand welcome with Aarti with the sound of Damru on the stage right in front of the Gurudwara.
After this, when his convoy moved forward in an open car along with the Chief Minister and the BJP candidate and other dignitaries, the crowd gathered on both sides of the road welcomed him with slogans like ‘Jai Shri Ram and Modi hai to mumkin hai’.
The crowd was seen continuously showering flowers on his convoy. The Prime Minister was seen continuously accepting and responding to people’s greetings. During the roadshow route, people were also seen standing on the buildings located on both sides of the road welcoming the leader.
People were also seen capturing the opportunity to get a glimpse of the Prime Minister from so close on their mobile phones. During the roadshow, people from almost every section were seen standing on the roadside to greet their Prime Minister.
Waving the election symbol of lotus in his hand, Modi also sought support from the people present for Kanpur candidate Ramesh Awasthi and Kanpur Dehat candidate Devendra Singh Bhole. During this time, the security arrangements also appeared to be completely tight. A wall of policemen was seen between the Prime Minister’s convoy and the people on both sides of the road.
