Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that teaching MBBS in Hindi is an important initiative for the students of Madhya Pradesh. The innovative effort has been made to provide higher education to the students in their own language as per Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s intention. It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh is the first state to provide MBBS education in Hindi language. Hindi is now included in the 16 languages in which medical curriculum is being taught. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla today reviewed the programme related to conducting MBBS course in Hindi in Mantralaya.
Second and third phase of Hindi transliteration work
It was told in the meeting that till now textbooks of all three subjects of the first year have been made available in Hindi. In the second and third phase, Hindi transliteration work of the textbooks of the coming years is in progress. It is noteworthy that in the second and third phase of Hindi transliteration work, 9 out of 13 books of 12 subjects have become available in Hindi language. The remaining 4 books will also be completed by the end of January.
Initiative beneficial for students
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla sought information regarding the feedback of students taking advantage of MBBS course in Hindi language. About 10 percent students are availing the facility of Hindi language textbooks. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla gave instructions to make arrangements to prepare question papers in Hindi along with English from the upcoming session. Hindi cell ‘Mandar’ has been formed in every medical college.
Arrange for operation of Cath lab in Hamidia
Taking cognizance of the problem of operation of Cath lab in Hamidia, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed to make arrangements for its operation soon. It was informed in the meeting that space has been given in the new building for operating a Cath lab. Until the new OPD block is built, the Cath lab will be operated here. Shifting of the lab will also be done soon.
