As per tradition, this Ramadan the markets are seen full of lights and buzzing with customers.

Streets illuminated with lights

Usually, people have been personally decorating their homes to express the joy of the festival, but this Ramadan the trend is such that even the localities, streets, squares and intersections get filled with decorations. From Arif Nagar to Jahangirabad, from Ahata Rustam Khan to Kohefiza and Idgah Hills and from Bagh Dilkushabagh to Farhat Afza and Aish Bagh, fringes of electric bulbs are visible. Local enthusiastic youth took up the responsibility of this decoration campaign in various localities of the old city. A certain amount of cooperation was taken by knocking door to door. When the required amount was not deposited, the youth increased their contribution and completed the decoration work by taking some additional amount from those who could pay more.
