Srinagar, Jan 30 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit the campaign trail in Kashmir for the upcoming Lok Sabha poll on Tuesday after it inaugurated three election offices in the valley.
The election offices were inaugurated for the three Lok Sabha constituencies Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag.
The election office for the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Ghulam Ali Khatana in the presence of Convener for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency- Surinder Ambardar.
Khatana highlighted the positive impact of central schemes and attributed the growing support for the BJP to the tangible benefits received by the people.
He also took the opportunity to contrast the approach of other political parties in the region.
The MP asserted that parties like the Peoples Democratic Party, National Conference and Congress have, unfortunately, contributed to a history of bloodshed in Kashmir.
“Under BJP’s governance, there has been a notable decrease in instances of violence and bloodshed, promoting a peaceful environment in the region,” he said, adding “BJP has a lot to present to the people, while regional political parties showcase blood and hartal in their report card.”
Former MLC and Convenor Surinder Ambardar termed INDIA alliance as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA) in the Indian democracy.
“…the Congress has become a NPA in the country and has become a liability. It is a sinking ship and no political personality is ready to sail in it,” he said.

Koul said the assembly election in J&K will also take place.
