Warangal (Telangana), Feb 13 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy asserted the Centre’s willingness to investigate the Kaleswaram project with the CBI, contingent on the state government’s cooperation.
Addressing the media after inaugurating the Warangal BJP Parliamentary Office at Hanumakonda on Tuesday, Reddy criticised former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for not supporting a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities involving BRS leaders.
He questioned the Congress-led government’s silence on seeking a CBI investigation and emphasised the inadequacy of vigilance in uncovering dam project irregularities.
Reddy detailed the Dam Safety Authority’s findings on deficiencies in the Medigadda project and criticised the state government for alleged inaction, particularly during the past two months. He accused Congress of exploiting the Medigadda issue for political mileage and questioned the timing of their visit after the assembly closed.
Expressing scepticism about the opposition’s motives in the run-up to MP elections, Reddy accused both Congress and BRS of orchestrating dramas to divert public attention from positive sentiments towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a strong statement, Reddy proclaimed BJP’s commitment to strong and efficient leadership, particularly under Narendra Modi. He highlighted ongoing efforts in the reconstruction of the thousand-pillared temple mandapam and emphasised the central government’s resolve to address financial misappropriation.
In addressing the Krishna water dispute, Reddy announced the establishment of the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal and urged both states to present their arguments.
He asserted BJP’s stance of not engaging with BRS and Congress and emphasised the Modi government’s commitment to holding those accountable for financial improprieties.
