Bhopal: The Hindi workshop for the first quarter (April – June) was organized by the Official Language Section of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya Bhopal in the Shailkala Auditorium. In this workshop, while giving training on the kanthaths learning tool (translation tool) Assistant Professor of NITTTR Bhopal Prof. Anjali Potnis said that “Memory Based Tool-Kanthasth” was developed by the Department of Official Language through C-DAC Pune Inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat and be vocal for local” a new version of this tool, Kanthastha 2.0 has been developed to further enhance it with modern features (like neural machine translation, voice typing etc.)
In this the listener keeps the translation done in the target language and the listener language in his memory and whenever the need arises, he takes it out from his memory and gives it.This tool would prove useful in saving huge amount of manpower and time consumed in the functioning of Central Government in the huge volume of translation work done on regular basis. Prof Potnis further explained this translation tool to everyone through practical demonstration.
