Jabalpur set to become Central India’s first planned city 

Jabalpur, Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said to prepare a five-year roadmap for establishing employment centric industries based on the resources available in the districts. An investors’ summit for industrialists from the state will be organized at district level. He said to focus on sectors which are still available with unlimited opportunities for investment and employment. He said to encourage local industrialists.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions in the review meeting of development works held in Jabalpur today. Considering the forest conditions of tribal districts Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori, he said to implement a separate plan for industries to counter power crisis. Keeping in view the climate and conditions in such areas, sectors like animal husbandry and tourism will be promoted. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told to focus on mining and dairy business in these districts.

Investment in Mahakaushal sector in last three years

Principal Secretary Industries Shri Sanjay Shukla informed about the extensive changes that took place in the industrial sector of Mahakaushal area in the last three months. He said that in Mahakaushal, there has been a change in 9 sectors including cement, textile, iron and steel, agriculture and food processing, ethanol, engineering, FMCG and construction materials. An investment of Rs 9567 crore has been made in three months while new jobs have been created for 19 thousand 716 people.

New projects proposed in Mahakaushal

Preparation for upcoming new projects in Mahakaushal area have been made by the of the state government. Among these, major infrastructure work (trunk infrastructure) is proposed in 1379 acres area in Sehora. Its estimated cost is Rs 240 crore. Similarly, work costing Rs 11 crore will be carried out in the industrial area Burkalkhapa Seoni, about 400 acres in Simra and Kalwara Khurd village, Rehti of Katni, 20 km away from Katni and 3 km from the state highway.
